Young Italian darts player Aurora Fochesato has had a successful fortnight.
On the 12th of October, Aurora qualified for the WDF Womans World Championship, which is being staged at The Lakeside this coming November. She also had her best weekend on the PDC Womans Series, reaching the last 16 stage in Event 22, losing to multi womans series event winner Noa-Lyn van Leuven 4-2. Still only 18, the Venetian born darts star has already been crowned European and World Youth Champion. Womans sport in general is in a fantastic place and darts is following suit. There are more dates being added to the calender and more prize money being offered. Subsequently, there are female players on the tour who can make a living from the prize money won across the year. Its an exciting period for the womans game and hopefully Aurora can keep developing into a top class player over the next few years.
