The forthcoming Players Championship at Crawley this weekend (30th-1st July) is a big weekend for 3 of the 4 JBD Darts team. With Andy Hamilton already assured of a place at the forthcoming World Matchplay in Blackpool next month due to his number 8 PDC World ranking.  Jamie Caven, Steve Brown and Darren Webster will all be looking to join him.Jamie is pretty well assured of his spot in the Matchplay but Darren and Steve both have work to do this weekend if they are to qualify. Qualification is decided with the top 16 in the World assured of a place and then the next top 16 rated players in the Pro Tour Order of Merit also qualifying.  Currently Caven sits at number 13 in the Pro Tour Order of Merit. Webster sits at number 17 and Brown is at number 22. A good weekend from all 3 players will go along way to assuring them a spot in the lucrative 9 day SKY televised tournament.
