After a quiet six months Bristol’s Steve Brown seems to have recaptured his 2011 form over the last few weeks. At the tail end of February Steve won the Southern Counties Open beating Premier League player Simon Whitlock in doing so. Then last Saturday Brown lifted the Welsh Open crown in style.
Finally at Butlins in Minehead on Sunday in front of a packed crowd Steve won a four man exhibition beating 2012 UK Open Champion Kevin Painter and fellow JBD star Andy Hamilton. With both players averaging over 100 it was a high quality match and sees a welcome and timely return of form for Brown.
