Bristol’s Steve Brown came unstuck at the last 16 stage of the Gibraltar Open yesterday against eventual finalist Jamie Lewis.

Brown who had previously beaten Brendan Dolan and Paul Nicholson could never summon the intensity of the previous two rounds and although disappointed with the loss must take the positives from his performances over the last couple of months.
