With the last 2 months of the year approaching Butlins features heavily in our tail end schedule. We are at Bognor Regis on November 5th with Wayne Mardle, Andy Hamilton, Darryl Fitton and Sarah Milkowski. then we're at Minehead on November 24th with our Darts Show in front of 2500 fans and on the 26th and 27th we will be hosting our Fanzone experience.
Sky Sports presenter Wayne Mardle headlines our "Night before the Players Championship " on the 24th, accompanied by young Italian player Aurora Fochesato, SKY Sports presenter and Woman's Series player Laura Turner plus BDO ledge Darry Fitton. Also appearing are sports stars, SKY Sports and TalkSPORT presenter Spencer Oliver and snooker legend, 6 time world champion, Steve Davis OBE, who will be playing each other over 1 leg of 501. Spencer will be determined to win after losing to England and Arsenal legend David Seaman last year over the same format. The evening will be ably hosted by Phil Seymour. Our superb JBD dance team are also appearing along with comedian Sean Percival and live music from The Lettuce Heads. Its 3 hours of entertainment prior to the serious stuff, namely Fridays first session at the PDC Players Championship Finals. All our players will be available after for signings and selfies. Saturday and Sunday is all about the FANZONE. Held at Inn on the Green, Paul Starr will host both days. On Saturday Wayne Mardle and Laura Turner will talk about the weekend and their thoughts on who will be the eventual winner plus everything topical in the world of darts. We will be running our soft tips dart comp all weekend and the winner will be receiving a super JBD prize when the scores are finalised. Plus loads of giveaways from our sponsors Cosmo Darts. World Cup Sunday Fanzone features Man United and Wales legend Clayton Blackmore. Clayton will be talking about his illustrious career and with the forthcoming England v Wales game looming on the following Tuesday, we have secured Clayton to referee a Wales v England 5 a side match outside the Fanzone. So if anyone would like to represent their country please head to Paul Starr in the Fanzone! Did we mention beer ? We will also be giving away 40 pints of beer over the 2 days so make sure you pick up a JBD ticket from our JBD Dance Team on the door on Thursday evening.
The Fanzone is run over two sessions each day from 11.15-13.00 then 17.30- 18.30. The soft tips dart competition will run from 11.15-20.00 on both days, with household Frome DJ " Big Simon " playing the tunes throughout. He loves a beer does Big Si so if you win a pint and are not thirsty you know where to send it !
We have a couple of private events in play prior to Christmas and we are also at the NEC on November 2nd and 3rd with Andy Hamilton and Alisha Singh. Its going to be a fun run into 2023.
