Wadi Camacho has his 13th professional contest this Saturday (14th December ) at the ExCel arena in London. Camacho will be having his first fight since his inexplicable loss to Tony Conquest in October. The bout against Romford’s Conquest was an eliminator for the British Cruiserweight Title. Camacho started well and bounced Conquest onto the canvas twice inside the first 2 rounds. Yet somehow despite being 4 points up after 2 rounds the judges deemed the Romford man the winner. Meaning that the Canning Town boxer lost the next 8 rounds on the spin, which takes some doing!
On Saturday Wadi will be fighting in a 4 round contest with a view to get back into the Championship mix in the not too distant future. Training has been going well and although mistakes were made against Conquest hopefully Camacho has learned from them. A more disciplined approach to his work is the key. Camacho possesses the necessary skills to make the grade and it will be interesting to see him implement them on Saturday night. The show will also feature World Class Dagenham boxer Kevin Mitchell as well as Olympic Super Heavyweight Champion Anthony Joshua MBE.
