Highly rated Prize-fighter Cruiserweight Champion Wadi Camacho has signed managerial terms with JBD CEO Jess Harding.
The 27 year old Canning Town resident has a professional fight record of 11 fights with only 1 loss. The 6 foot 4 inch tall southpaw has his first fight under Harding when he will appear on the undercard of Olympic Super Heavyweight Champion Anthony Joshua's pro debut on October the 5th at the 02 arena in London.
Wadi is trained by Don Charles who also trains World class Finchley Heavyweight Dereck Chisora. Charles who expertly trained Chisora to probably the best win of his pro career thus far when last Saturday Chisora stopped previously unbeaten Malik Scott in 6 rounds. Don will be looking to install in Camacho the necessary technique and discipline needed to progress to World Class level over the next 18 months.
Harding who has been out of boxing for the last 7 years but has previously handled the careers of World Super Featherweight Champion Nicky Cook, World Super Middleweight Champion Robin Reid, Olympic Super Heavyweight Champion Audley Harrison MBE and European Super Bantamweight Champion Spencer Oliver said " I'm really excited to be involved with Wadi's career. He has the immense talent, skills and ability needed to make it to the top over the next few years and it is going to be interesting to see how he and his career develops. He is keen and eager to become Champion of the World and he carries immense power in either hand but he is relatively inexperienced. The challenge will be to slightly hold him back so that he gets the right types of fights so that he has the necessary experience to handle every different facet needed to remain a Champion in the long term".
