Premier League star Andy Hamilton conducted a 40 minute speech at the world famous Eton College on Monday 5th March. Hamilton enthralled an audience of 200 darts loving pupils with his speech about life as a professional darts player and the attributes needed to make it to the top. After the speech Andy performed 3 exhibition matches against the pupils where he displayed the form that has elevated him to number 7 in the World. Winning all 3 matches and finishing each leg by covering the board with a paper bag and checking out on double 16 each time. The following morning Hamilton spoke in front of 500 pupils for 10 minutes, this time detailing the discipline needed to survive in the pressurised atmosphere of the PDC. Hamilton is the first darts player ever to be invited to the college to make a speech in its 550 year history. A history that includes schooling 19 Prime Ministers along with Princes, Harry and William. Hamilton then went on to visit his new sponsors King of Shaves before driving down to Brighton for this Thursday’s McCoy’s Premier League game against fellow newcomer Kevin Painter.
