On Monday we announced the first 8 competitors for this years annual charity PDC Fishing Championship being held on Tuesday August 28th at Gold Valley Lakes in Aldershot.
The televised event has featured some of the biggest names from the world of sport and this year is no exception. Darts is represented by reigning PDC World Champion Rob Cross, 2 time world champion Gary Anderson, world number 9 Michael Smith, world number 17 Darren Webster and PDC Chairman Barry Hearn. Team Snooker are represented by 6 times world champion Steve Davis OBE and 2 time world champion Mark Williams MBE. The last of the 8 names announced is Olympic decathlete, Commonwealth and World Championship medalist Dean Macey. Macey, who won the championship in 2016 is also a presenter from the highly successful ITV4 fishing series The Big Fish Off. More big names will be announced next Monday. The show will be televised on Sky Sports as part of the Darts Show series.
