JBD's Super 8 League Championship held on May 19th at Potters Resort at Hopton on Sea was won by darting legend Phil Taylor. Taylor beat 2014 BDO World Champion 4-3 in a high class final.  Mitchell, who missed double 12 for a perfect nine dart finish in his semi final win against Martin Adam's, played his part in a thrilling event. Divided into two groups of 4 the eight players consisting  of Taylor, Mitchell, Adams, Tony O'Shea, Chris Mason,  Keith Deller,Colin Lloyd and Darry Fitton played 3 group games to decide which top 2 from each group would move forward to the semi final stage. Points in the group stage were awarded for not only the win but also, 100 +, 140 +, 180 and  100+ checkouts.Played over 3 legs, you could actively see the players change the way they were approaching each match to ensure not only the win, but the extra points awarded for big scores. There were some great games, not least Keith Dellers fantastic win against Taylor in his his first group match when Keith took out 123. Fan friendly, devised so that fans get short format games encouraging big scores and finishes, the competition was a massive success and we look forward to staging the next series very soon.
