2nd PDC INVITATIONAL FISHING CHAMPIONSHIP

THE BOXER BASHES UP THE DARTS PLAYERS


The former European Boxing Champion and now Sky Sport Commentator Spencer Oliver won the 2nd PDC Invitational Fishing Championship with a winning weight of 19lb. 

Barnet born Oliver admitted that is was more down to luck than skill but was more than happy to walk away with the winner’s cheque of £1000 and more importantly the PDC Fishing Trophy. 

The competition was run in aid of Haven House Children’s Hospice and was covered by Sky Sports TV fishing programme Tight Lines to be shown on Friday 26th September 2014.

The competition saw a host of household names including Steve Davis, Phil Taylor, Adrian Lewis, Barry Hearn, Glenn McCrory and current BDO World Champion Stephen Bunting fishing at Barnet & District Angling Clubs premier venue, Shepherds Way Lake.

The event promoter, Jeremy Harding said “it was a great competition and a tremendously fun day and we look forward to staging next year’s event making it bigger and better and raising even more money for Haven House”.
