Norwich's Darren Webster lost his first round match 6-5 against in form Dave Chisnall in the inaugural Euro Pro Tour event at Butlins in Minehead.
Webster who had had the perfect preparation for the tournament having stayed at the Somerset resort all week in anticipation of a good run in the £100000.00 tournament.Leading 5-3 Darren should have wrapped the game up but allowed Chisnall to level at 5-5.
With everything resting on the last leg disaster struck for Webster when the barrel of his third dart broke and the dart bounced out. With no spare available it left Webster no option but to literally try and hammer his last dart in the board on his very last throw. His efforts in doing so proved fruitless and Chisnall ran out the winner and onto the next round.For Darren it was a lesson learned and he will be relatively pleased with his performance against one of the favourites for the tournament.
