Darren Webster has qualified for the Boyle Sport Grand Slam of Darts. In last nights qualifiers the world number 19 beat Dawson Murchell, Justin Pipe and Matt Clark respectively. The Pipe and Clark games were typical Webster. After falling behind in both matches 3-1, Darren eventually got the job done by never giving up and grinding out a brace of 5-4 wins. After todays group D draw Darren has been matched with 2 time world champion Gary Anderson, Irishman William O Connor and BDO qualifier Dave Parletti. It's been a tough year for Darren with a reoccurring elbow and shoulder injury plaguing him throughout. However, there is still a lot to play for. With a decent run, Webster can resurrect a year that thus far has failed to produce the form and excitement of the past couple of years.
The Sky Sports televised Tournament starts on November 9th at the Aldersley Leisure Resort in Wolverhampton.Good luck Darren.
