Darren Websters great run in the Coral UK Open at Butlins in Minehead came to an end when he lost 9-5 to Premier league player Peter Wright in the last 16 stage of the Championship. Webster, had won a thriller in the afternoons session beating fast throwing Ricky Evans 9-8, but failed to bring the same intensity to his match against Wright in the evening. Wright would eventually move into the final losing to the phenomenal Michael Van Gerwin.

Darren, although disappointed will take a lot of positives from the weekends tournament and will look forward to this coming weekends Players Championship qualifiers being held in Barnsley.
